5:02 am	Food for my slash-starved brain In a very long time I will ramble about things non-DeRo. With Roman's absence plus the absence of hot DeRo action plus my personal disappointment at not being able to attend the March event, I need something to tide me over. I searched for other slash-rich fandoms and discovered two. First, Harry/Ron. Well, not discovered as such, because Harry/Ron shipping has been around forever I guess. It's more like I've gradually become able to actually think of something other than AWZ and like it. I like angst and held-back lust masquerading as awkward friendship and everything that is so delightfully abundant in the Harry/Ron fandom. I've never been a true Harry Potter fan. I like fantasy stories and magic and children and teen heros, but I've never had the chance to really immerse myself in the Harry Potter world. My sister had my mom knit her a Harry Potter scarf or whatever it is they wear around their necks. Maybe I would've felt that strongly about Harry Potter if I didn't have a three-year-old and a husband and a job and an insane real life that comes in the way. Anyway, Harry/Ron fic is great and hot and cuts it for me while I'm waiting for Roman to return and DeRo to get more action. I mean, after their glorious reunion things have been a little too... innocent, maybe? I mean, they got their room but there were noticeably more innocent pecks than mouth kisses and even the mouth kisses we got were with closed mouths and all love scenes were implied rather than right there for us to enjoy. Yes, I'm a pervert and I want DeRo near-porn please, thank you very much, and angst and slobbery make-up scenes and proper farewell kisses preceded by long send-offs, for crying out loud! Sheesh. How could they not give us a good long Roman send-off in the new room and long kisses with tongue? I hope the writers have a good welcome back scene when Roman returns. The second fandom I stumbled upon thanks to my own perverted slashy thoughts. I watched the Man in The Iron Mask properly for the first time a few days ago and couldn't get over how slash-worthy Philippe and Athos seemed. I searched online and discovered others as dismayed as I am that there was no Philippe/Athos fandom. Hardly any fanfic, no YouTube videos, nothing. Only the perverted thoughts of my head and the heads of other Philippe/Athos shippers. Still, something to nibble on in my mind until Bunny returns and AWZ writers remember the forgotten shower stall. *hopes* (1 Comment |Comment on this)

Although personally I'd keep the sign as it originally was. I think the redundancy is... justified, if you will, and beneficial to the unsure and the hesitant who will assume what they've understood from the sign is wrong. I'm one of those unfortunate people. I read and reread signs and walk away reluctantly, certain that I misunderstood or oversaw the most vital part of the whole thing. People like myself appreciate when instructions are repeated, elaborated on, and language should cater to them as well, as long as it doesn't stoop to sloppy redundancy.  (Comment on this)
